School Uniform

Our policy on school uniform is based on the principles that school uniform:

  • promotes a sense of pride in the school.
  • engenders a sense of community and belonging towards the school.
  • is practical and smart.
  • identifies the children with the school.
  • prevents children from coming to school in fashion clothes that could be distracting in class.
  • makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance.
  • is regarded as suitable wear for school and good value for money by most parents.
  • is designed with health and safety in mind.

The clothing guide is:

Girls

  • School logo green cardigan/sweatshirt (available from school).
  • Grey pinafore dress or skirt / grey trousers or shorts.
  • White blouse with collar/polo shirt (no T-shirts).
  • White, grey or green socks or tights.
  • Summer: any dress of simple design (e.g. stripes, check) in green/white.
  • Black/Dark shoes (White option in summer).
  • Boots only to be worn in poor weather conditions (not as fashion accessories).

Boys

  • School logo green jumper/sweatshirt (available from school).
  • Grey trousers/shorts.
  • White shirt with collar/polo shirt (no T-shirts).
  • White, grey socks.
  • Black/Dark shoes.

PE Kit

Children must wear appropriate clothing for PE:

  • White T-shirt or school's design (available from school).
  • Green shorts (available from school).
  • Slip-on plimsolls.
  • Tracksuit for outdoor games (available from school).
  • PE bag marked with child's name (available from school).

Painting aprons are required for boys and girls.

Caps for summer are also available from school if required.

ALL ARTICLES MUST BE CLEARLY AND INDELIBLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME.

Jewellery

Due to health and safety reasons no jewellery should be worn in school, including earrings, bangles, necklaces etc, (unless for a religious reason). Watches may be worn.
