Home - School Agreement
A copy of the Home-School Agreement will be given to all parents at the induction meeting. A copy is shown below for your information.
This is a contract with the school that is also a legal requirement. It will be valid for the length of time your child attends Chalfont St. Giles Infant School and Nursery. We hope you will support us in this.
As parents/guardians we will try our utmost to:
- ensure that our child arrives on time and that he/she is properly equipped at the start of every school day, and dressed appropriately.
- make the school aware of any concern that might affect our child's work or behaviour.
- support the school's policies and guidelines- for appropriate behaviour.
- support our child in homework, opportunities for home learning and the achievement of specific learning targets.
- attend all parent consultation evenings and any further discussions about our child's education.
- take advantage of the school's Open Door policy to support our child's education.
The school will try its utmost to:
- care for your child's safety and happiness within a stimulating environment.
- ensure that your child achieves his/her full potential as a valued member of the school.
- provide a stimulating, broad and balanced curriculum.
- achieve and maintain high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour.
- provide stimulating and appropriate homework.
- keep you informed about the progress of your child.

- offer opportunities for you to be involved in the daily life of the school.
As a pupil I will do my best to:
- take good care of the school buildings and equipment.
- be polite and helpful to my teachers, helpers, visitors and all other children.
- follow the school and class rules.
- do all my classwork and homework as best I can.
- bring all the things I need to school every day.
