Dear Parents/friends/Guardians                       30th September 2005

Lunch Times

Trolleys

We will be changing the system with the lunch trolleys from next Monday 3rd October.  The trolleys will be put in the Memorial Hall kitchen in the morning (as they are currently on wet days) for you to put your child’s lunch box on, rather than in the playground.  Children will bring their lunchboxes out with them at the end of the day as normal.

Children’s Sandwiches (message from the Mid-day Supervisors)

The Mid-day supervisors would like to remind parents that lunchboxes need to be clearly named.  Please also ensure that you place your child’s lunchbox on the correct trolley as mistakes are occurring, causing delay and confusion.   Please also be aware that if your child is not eating their sandwiches, it is because they are telling the mid-day supervisors that they don’t like them.

Admission to Reception 2006/2007

Parents of children reaching the age of 5 between 1st September 2006 and 31st August 2007 need to complete and return an admissions form to Bucks County Council by 18th November 2005.  Booklets and forms are available from the office.

Please note that a child attending our Nursery is not automatically entitled to a place at the school and the Infant School has no control or influence over the admissions process.  You must complete and return the form to Bucks County Council by their deadline for your child to be considered for admission to this Infant School.

Permission form for photographs

Attached to this newsletter is a form asking parents/guardians for permission to use images of the children at the school. This form has been prepared by Bucks County Council.  Please would every parent complete and return the form (one per child) to school as soon as possible.  Regarding point 3, we should note that we normally arrange a video recording of the Infant Christmas production for parents to purchase and all children would appear in the recording.

Mid-day Supervisor Vacancy

We have a vacancy for a mid-day supervisor after half-term.  The hours are 12 noon to 1.30pm Monday to Friday but this could be a job share.  If you are interested, please talk to Mrs Whittington.

Signing In

A reminder that you need to sign in the Visitors’ Book if you are entering the school for any length of time (other than to pick up or drop off).  This is so that we know who is on the premises in the event of fire or an emergency and also for security reasons.

Pushchairs

We would ask that parents do not bring pushchairs into the main school building for safety reasons: the corridors are narrow and, in the event of an emergency, we would not be able to evacuate everyone efficiently. Please leave pushchairs outside in the playground where they will not obstruct the entrance.   Thank you for your understanding.

Collecting Children at the end of the day

Please would parents stand well back of the entrance area to enable children from Year 2 to leave the building without obstruction.  Thank you.

Yoga Bugs Club

We recently sent out information on a new lunchtime yoga club for the children.  The deadline for booking places has been extended – if you are interested, please contact the office.
