Dear
Parents/friends/Guardians
27th January 2006
Wycombe Wanderers
Alan and Adam from
Wycombe Wanderers visited us last week and gave out the football shirts to
those children who filled in their form. They were presented with these in
Assembly.

Helping Out
There are a number
of parents to whom we are very grateful for their help with trolleys (taking
them out to the playground in the morning).
On occasions, however, they are not able to do this and the trolleys are
left in the classrooms. If you arrive in
the playground and the trolleys are not there, we would really appreciate it if
you could please come in and collect them you do not need to wait for someone
else to do it. Thank you.
World Book Day
Further details will
follow nearer the time, but please note that Thursday 2nd March is
World Book Day and we will be celebrating this with the children who are
welcome to come to school dressed as their favourite book character.
Infant School Parents Evening
There will be two
parents evenings during the last week of this half-term on Wednesday 8th
February from 5.30 8.00 and Thursday 9th February from 3.30
6.00pm. Please ensure that your mobile phone is switched off during your
appointment with the teacher.
Consultations are private and 10 minutes in
duration. Please return the slip at the end of this newsletter to the class
teacher as soon as possible.
During the evening
your child's work will be on display for you to look at. Please knock on the
classroom door at your allotted time as this ensures that the consultations run
to time.
There will be a
new requirement this year for all parents to fill in a short on-line
questionnaire regarding issues at school. All the computers in the ICT suite
will be set up ready so that parents can take a few minutes of their time
before or after their appointment, to tick some boxes! The results of this,
plus questionnaires completed on-line by the pupils, staff and Governors will
be analysed and a report generated and subsequently distributed. Thank you for
your co-operation.
Back Gate
Whilst the
building work is going on the back gate will be open during the day. Once the
work is completed, the gate will be locked after the start of school and
re-opened just before the end of school.
Parent Questionnaires
If parents require
more information about the recent questionnaire results, please let the office
staff know and a full pack can be e-mailed to you. If you require a hard copy
please be aware that there will be a charge.
Request
Mrs Bennett is
looking for a second hand freezer. If anyone can help please let the office
know.
Lunch boxes
Please can I
remind parents to put suitable food in the lunch boxes.
It has come to my notice that some parents are including sweets, chocolate and
lollies. It is our policy that these items are not allowed. Also, please be
tolerant of those children with nut allergies, and not include peanut butter
sandwiches. Thank you.
